I love Montreal! It’s like a little trip to Paris without the jet lag or waiters turning their noses at you because your French isn’t quite up to snuff. Historic elegance abounds and I’ll be immersed in it as I’m returning to Montreal’s Rialto Theatre to treat the city to another performance of my Las Vegas show, Sinatra Forever, on June 21, 2014. (...)

Last week’s blog post reviewing Frank Sinatra’s official CD, ’57 in Concert started me thinking about other live compositions and the number of bootleg albums that are swimming around on shelves and cyberspace, just begging to be listened to, so I’m going to let you know about one that was recorded almost 56 years ago to the date – The Sporting Club: Monte Carlo, Monaco, June 14, 1958. (...)

Toes tapping, people dancing and swingers swaying in the Westin Seattle’s hotel lobby as I belt out one Sinatra hit after another, teasing those there for the League of American Orchestras 2014 Conference with what could be if Frank … A Musical Journey was performed with their musicians. (...)

I am jazzed for the upcoming League of American Orchestras 2014 conference in beautiful Seattle, Washington. Progressive, hip and cool, as was Frank Sinatra, The Emerald City will be alive with world-class music and I can’t wait to be a part of the action in one of America’s fastest growing urban centers. (...)

I came across a postcard of Frank Sinatra shaking the hand of Queen Elizabeth II of England and started to wonder who would be America’s royal family? (...)

Rick Michel’s Sinatra Forever Las Vegas show delivers the most bang for your buck of any available on the strip and this article is going to tell you why. (...)

The time has come to present my summation for the blog series on my brand new Las Vegas show, Frank … A Musical Journey. I hope you will be able to take away one thing from this series: writing about this sensational journey doesn’t do the show justice, so you’ll just have to see it for yourself! (...)

Oh, what MGM missed out on. It blows my mind to think about someone with the star power, charisma and talent of Frank Sinatra being utilized to the fullest of his abilities in a mechanism as refined as MGM’s star system, working constantly with the likes of Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Perhaps it was that charisma, that inability to resemble a yes-man, which proved Frank unsuited for life in such a system. (...)

I’m enjoying these attempts of putting Frank … A Musical Journey into blog form, living each moment, reliving every emotion and trying to give the reader a glimpse into the experience that is this monumental Las Vegas show. The combination of song and narration deliver the greatest Sinatra experience on stage. (...)
