You’ve read about the impersonations and innovative performances that audiences experience with “DRINKIN’-SINGIN’-SWINGIN’ Salute to Frank Sinatra – Sammy Davis Jr. – Dean Martin” and “Sinatra Forever: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra.” Through both shows, theatergoers watch talented actors relive moments from the past and get creative about moments from the future. But “Frank and Dean Together Again” is different. In this original production, patrons get to see what Sinatra and Martin might be like together as a dynamic duo, after spending their respective careers mostly living in the spotlight alone.
Dave Halston (Frank Sinatra) has been performing for over a quarter-century, impersonating both Sinatra and Martin on cruise lines, and even for the incredible Barbara Sinatra and Jeanne Martin, the wives of the great singers (both to resounding applause!)
Rick Michel (Dean Martin) has, of course, found incredible success through yet another production of impersonations. His work has been seen on stages from Las Vegas and across the United States for individuals like Bob Hope, President Ford, and the infamous Sinatra himself.
Together, Halston and Michel create a unique camaraderie between Sinatra and Dean that has never been seen on stage before. Audiences will see the two men toast each other, goof around, and sing old time favorites. As Michel’s website states, “the King of Swing and the King of Cool” come together to remind theatergoers of the classic performers through a light musical comedy tribute.
Speaking of impressions, did you know that Rick Michel specializes in more than just singers from the 60s and 70s? He impersonates a wide range of celebrities from the likes of Kermit the Frog to Marlon Brando as the Godfather. Check out his photo gallery (http://www.rickmichel.com/photos/) for more.
